Oh what a week…

We have so much going on this week. Of course, we have the fabulous Friday and Saturday night shows that you have come to know and love. This week we are featuring the Brian Horton Trio on Friday night and the Ed Paolantonio Quartet on Saturday. They’ve both played at Beyu before, and we know you love them as much as we do. However, if you haven’t had the joy of hearing these brilliant musicians before, here are some clips to get you in the mood for the shows.

One of the things Beyu Caffe loves, however, is bringing you lesser known artists. We love to be a place where you can hear things you haven’t heard before, and where newer artists can find a supportive audience. With that in mind, we have shows this Wednesday and Thursday as well.

From 6-8 on Wednesday we will be bringing you Katie Basden, a Durham local who blends a myriad of musical influences into her own soulful country stylings.

Thursday night from 6-8 we will be bringing you beloved Beyu regular Shawn Deena, whose performances have been described as anything from energetically lively to frenzied fun with a splash of humor.

Check out their tunes below, and then come by and catch their performances. There is no cover charge for these ones, because we want you to show all of your love to the performers.

Two Fantastic Shows This Week

So, I’m not one to brag, but we have two fantastic shows coming up this week. On Friday we have the renowned Ira Wiggins Quartet and on Saturday it’s Jim Ketch, who we all know and love.  I don’t want you to have any reason not to come and see these incredible musicians, so her are a few teasers to get you in the mood. I hope that you enjoy the videos, and that they encourage you to come out and see the shows this weekend.

Marcus Anderson is coming!

Marcus Anderson is coming to Beyu Caffe this week!

I understand that some of you might not be as excited as we are about this, and I’m sure that this lack of excitement is only because you haven’t heard the joyful and energetic musical styling he brings to his show. With that in mind, here are a few videos to whet your appetite. We know once you’ve heard him, you won’t be able to resist. Tickets are available online through our calendar of events, and we will see you at the show!
